# AdLib API > See every ad a company runs on Meta, Google, YouTube, Google Play, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Snapchat, the Apple App Store, Amazon and Microsoft Bing, through one REST API and MCP server. We keep ads after the platforms remove them and alert you when competitors launch, stop, change or pull ads. Pay per delivered result. AdLib is an API for developers, data teams and AI agents. It reads the public ad libraries of twelve platforms, returns every ad in one JSON schema, keeps every ad it has seen in its own archive (also after the platform removes it), and sends alerts when an advertiser's ads change. Base URL: https://api.adlibapi.com. Auth: X-API-Key header. Spec: OpenAPI 3.1 at https://adlibapi.com/openapi.yaml. ## Jobs it does - See what a competitor runs on every platform: resolve its domain, then list or search its ads. - Get told when a competitor launches, stops, changes or pulls an ad: watchlists with signed webhooks, Slack or Discord messages, or email digests. - Keep ads after the platforms forget them: an archive with versions, run periods and the date a library removed an ad. - Score a lead list by ad activity: one flat-priced check per domain across all platforms, with flat columns for Clay and sheets. - Explain why an ad works: creative features with the exact text behind every tag, plus documented performance signals. - Let an AI agent do the research: hosted MCP server with 30 tools. ## Platforms - [Meta](https://adlibapi.com/platforms/meta): Facebook & Instagram Ad Library; 1 credit(s) per ad - [Google](https://adlibapi.com/platforms/google): Ads Transparency Center (Search, Shopping, Maps); 2 credit(s) per ad - [YouTube](https://adlibapi.com/platforms/youtube): Google Ads Transparency Center; 2 credit(s) per ad. platform=youtube: Google ads that ran on YouTube. - [Google Play](https://adlibapi.com/platforms/play): Google Ads Transparency Center; 2 credit(s) per ad. platform=play: Google ads that ran in the Play Store. Beta: X's repository search is unreliable right now. Beta: Microsoft's library often answers with service limits right now. - TikTok, Pinterest, X, Snapchat, the Apple App Store, Amazon and Microsoft publish EU repositories under the Digital Services Act (TikTok also UK and CH). Meta and Google are worldwide; Amazon covers all EU store countries. ## Find a company's ads - GET /v1/advertisers/resolve?domain=nike.com: advertiser accounts on every platform, each with score (0 to 1), match_reason and role. 10 credits when something matches. - GET /v1/companies/{domain}: one company profile. The brand's own accounts are separated from agencies, resellers and partners that run ads for it (role per account, include_related=true to count them); brand families appear once reviewed. Combined active ads, countries, formats, weekly launches and longest-running ads. 15 credits (resolve plus stats). - GET /v1/domains/{domain}/check: is this company advertising right now, and where. Yes/no/unknown, per-platform active ads and latest ad date, plus a flat columns object. 3 credits, free if no platform could be checked. - POST /v1/advertisers/resolve/reports: report a wrong or missing match (free); reviewed fixes apply for everyone. - GET /v1/library-url?url=...: paste a link copied from an ad library and get the AdLib id plus the call that fetches it (free). ## Search and ads - GET /v1/search: exactly one of q (keyword), advertiser (name or :) or domain; filters platform, country, status, from, to, format, placement, political (Meta). Without platform, all platforms that support the mode are queried in parallel. - platform=youtube or platform=play returns Google ads that ran on YouTube or Google Play. - GET /v1/ads/{id}: one ad. Ids look like meta:1187430977361020; advertisers like meta:15087023444. - Ad fields: advertiser, status, first_shown/last_shown (platform), first_seen_by_us/last_seen_by_us (ours), formats, creatives (text, headline, CTA, landing URL, media on permanent URLs), countries, placements, eu_data (reach total and per country, targeting, payer, beneficiary), spend_range and impressions_range where published, derived, removed_from_library_at, library_url. Fields a platform does not publish are null; nothing is estimated. ## Archive, history and removed ads - source=history on /v1/search queries AdLib's own archive, including ads the platforms no longer show; sort=days_running puts the longest-running ads first. - removed=true (with source=history) returns ads the platform's library no longer shows: taken down, deleted or aged out. They keep removed_from_library_at and their media. - GET /v1/ads/{id}/variants: the advertiser's other ads with exactly the same text (what derived.variant_count counts), billed per ad. - GET /v1/ads/{id}/history: versions (each creative change with valid_from/valid_to), status_periods and events (discovered, started, stopped, changed, removed); EU reach over time for Meta. - GET /v1/advertisers/{id}/timeline, GET /v1/advertisers/{id}/changes?since=YYYY-MM-DD (types=removed for removals), GET /v1/advertisers/{id}/stats. - The archive starts when AdLib first saw an advertiser; ads removed before that cannot be backfilled. Plan depth: Free 90 days, Starter 12 months, Growth and above the full archive. ## Alerts - POST /v1/watchlists with advertisers, optional webhook_url, email_alerts and interval_hours. After each check: one advertiser.changes event per advertiser with new, started, stopped, changed and removed ads. - Webhooks are signed: X-AdLib-Signature t=,v1=.">. Test, list and redeliver under /v1/webhooks. - A Slack or Discord webhook URL gets a readable message instead of JSON; email_alerts=true mails a digest of each check's changes. - Shortest interval and advertisers per plan: Free 1 advertiser every 24 h, Starter 10 advertisers every 24 h, Growth 50 advertisers every 12 h, Pro 250 advertisers every 6 h, Business 1,000 advertisers hourly. ## Creative features and signals - GET /v1/ads/{id}/features (2 credits): hook, prices, discounts, urgency, social proof, guarantees and free offers (each tag quotes the text it matched), format, aspect ratio, video length, sound, scene cuts per minute, and on-image text read with OCR, with a timeline for videos. Options: include=transcript adds what is said with timestamps (+10 credits per started video minute); include=ai adds summary, hook type, angles, emotions, audience, style, CTA and offer from a language model (+5 credits). Kept per ad version. A new video analysis answers 202 {meta.status: "processing", retry_after} at once (free); call again after retry_after seconds for the data. - Every ad carries derived.signals (long_running, still_running_90d, scaled, wide_reach, multi_country) and derived.stage: testing (no signal), scaling (one), proven (two or more); null when the run length is unknown. ## Output and integrations - output=csv on every endpoint (next cursor in the X-Next-Cursor header). - POST /v1/batch: up to 100 domains, advertisers or ads per job (by plan), with an optional signed webhook. - Clay: HTTP API column on /v1/domains/{domain}/check; templates for lead scoring, ad copy personalization and competitor alerts at /docs/clay. n8n, Make, Zapier: HTTP request steps, and their webhook triggers as a watchlist webhook_url. - Not published yet: official SDKs (npm and PyPI), a dedicated n8n node, Zapier and Apify apps. Use the REST API or a client generated from the OpenAPI spec. ## MCP server - Hosted at https://mcp.adlibapi.com/mcp (streamable HTTP). Sign in with OAuth (Claude.ai and Claude Desktop custom connector, Claude Code /mcp) or send X-API-Key.
