AdLib vs Bright Data: ad library data compared

Bright Data sells a Meta Ad Library scraper and a Facebook ads dataset inside a large web-data platform. AdLib is a self-serve API over twelve ad platforms with a public schema, an archive and change events.

Bright Data is one of the largest web-data vendors: proxies, unblockers, 1,400+ pre-built scrapers, datasets and a SERP API. Ad library data is a small part of it, and Meta-only. AdLib does only ad library data, across twelve platforms, with an archive and change events built in.

Where AdLib is different

  • Twelve ad platforms, not one. Google (including YouTube ads, filterable with placement=youtube), TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X and Snapchat use the same schema as Meta.
  • Events on the ads. Bright Data's delivery webhook says your snapshot is ready. AdLib's watchlists say an advertiser launched, stopped, changed or lost an ad.
  • A documented schema. Every field, including EU reach history, payer and run periods, is in the public docs before you sign up.
  • Self-serve. No deposit, no business verification, no sales call. The free plan has 5,000 credits every month.
  • Domain as the entry point. Start from a competitor's domain and get its advertiser accounts on all twelve platforms, with a confidence score and match reason.

When Bright Data is the better pick

If you need general scraping or proxies at scale across many sites, Bright Data has far more of that than AdLib, which only reads ad libraries. If you want bulk files delivered to S3, Snowflake or Azure as Parquet on a schedule, its dataset delivery is built for warehouses. And if your procurement team already has a Bright Data contract and its compliance paperwork, adding the Meta scraper may be the shortest path.
