Amazon Ad Library

Amazon Ad Library API

Ads from Amazon's EU ad library by keyword, advertiser or brand, with the payer, targeting methods, reach ranges and the product pages they promote.

Coverage
Ads in Amazon's stores in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Belgium and Ireland, over the last 12 months. Countries without a store can be filtered too: they are searched in the store their shoppers use (Austria on amazon.de).
Price
1 credit per ad. 1 credit per delivered ad. A live search page costs at most 5 credits, however many ads it returns. Ads last shown more than 12 months ago cost double. Empty, cached and failed results are free.
Status
Amazon updates its library daily. status is active when the ad's last delivery date is within the last two days, otherwise inactive.

Moderation

extra.restricted, extra.restriction_category
Whether Amazon restricted the ad, and why

Only for ads shown in the EU

Published under the Digital Services Act; see EU reach.

  • eu_data.payer: who paid, often a media agency
  • eu_data.reach_range: total reach as a range
  • eu_data.reach_by_country_range: reach range per country, while the ad runs
  • eu_data.targeting.other.methods: the targeting methods used
  • Every ad in the library was shown in the EU

What Amazon does not publish

  • Spend and impressions: null
  • Exact reach: only ranges, so eu_data.reach_total is null
  • The values of the targeting: only the methods
  • Ads in amazon.com or amazon.co.uk

Try it

Samsung ads that reached Austria; extra.country_basis says whether Amazon confirmed the country.

Media: Images and videos of the ad; audio in extra.audio_url. Images are copied to media.adlibapi.com under stable URLs, and videos are archived for advertisers on a watchlist.

curl "https://api.adlibapi.com/v1/search?platform=amazon&advertiser=Samsung&country=AT" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $ADLIB_API_KEY"

What to do with it

  • See which products a brand pushes in which EU store, through the ASINs.
  • Find the agency paying for a brand's Amazon ads.
  • Watch a competitor's Amazon ads and get an alert when new ones start.

Limits

  • Only the last 12 months are searchable live.
  • Ads link to Amazon, not to the brand's site, so domain search uses the brand name.

Questions

Does Amazon have a public ad library?
Yes, for its EU stores: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Belgium and Ireland. It lists advertiser, payer, dates, targeting methods and reach ranges.
Is there an Amazon ad library for the US?
No. The library exists because of the EU Digital Services Act and covers the EU stores only.
Can I see which products an Amazon ad promotes?
Yes. The landing page is usually a product page, and AdLib returns its ASIN in extra.asins.
